i started sketching as a kid, but then found computers. i started writing software @ 11, and it's been almost 30 years (omg!). i tell people to be a successful software designer/developer, you must engage 3 disciplines. science, to hunt for and discover new things. engineering, to apply existing techniques and technologies to solve a problem... and artistic, to help find the creative solution while delivering a quality product to the user. many projects never have budget for the proper polish at the end. if you can mix it in as you go, everyone is happier with the result.

i've spent years traveling the world for work, which is good and bad. in the end, although things can be quite different as you travel, they are also strangely the same.

time to do it for myself and stop working for the man!
